Merit

I'm a student of design and I mainly make visual arts , I'm confident about my creativity but I don't know how to market it . Due to this pandemic I've lost my direction , as things that are necessarily learnt and understood through peer to peer learning were missed . I would like to have a mentor who could help me understand industrial needs and requirements and guide to to achieve my goal of being a designer.

Hi Hrishikesh - I totally understand, the pandemic has been hard on all of us. It's been especially hard to meet new people and network in the same way we normally would. I've found the easiest way to get a mentor is to connect with a few people about a specific problem a few times. If you "click" you'll either do a recurring conversation or a minimum get enough help to work through a particular problem/situation.

For finding a design mentor, I recommend talking to Product Designers who are interested in helping people Break Into Tech: https://www.get-merit.com/leaders/all?cursor=1&topics=5eab2dcd85481e0004364be5&roles=Product%20Design

Hope this helps!
