Although I've focused hard on my studies, having an active portfolio of finished, polished projects is something I am currently working towards. Looking through other people's portfolios for inspiration, I most commonly see various webpages showing off polished visual designs, or fancy UIs for hypothetical, non-functional websites. While I am brushing up on my frontend skills more in order to put together finished products, I've been curious what sorts of projects could focus more heavily on my existing Backend strength. I am trying to diversify my skills, so needing to learn not an issue, but I just wanted an idea of more categories of portfolio project to broaden my horizons.
