How does a product get developed when you are working on a larger and more mature product and some more general product management questions for a budding PM in their undergrad <3

I'm a 3rd year engineering undergrad that's gotten super hooked into product management after a couple terms as a product management intern. I'm really passionate about product management that I want to build my career into and I would love some advice and pointers for it. Thank you!!
